About the Blog

Brought to You By the Letter C is my new effort to write about sports. The blog will have common themes, but with heavy bias to the Detroit Red Wings, cupcakes and Michigan football. Here’s a few things the blog stands for:

• The Letter C stands for Captain. It stands for Steve Yzerman, the best leader of them all. Here, Steve Yzerman is God. That’s not blasphemy, that’s blog religion.

• The Letter C stands for Courage. I’m a big believer in writing. It takes courage to be a writer, whether you’re good at it or not. It’s never an easy task to piece together a bunch of words for others to read, but I believe it’s important in life.

• The Letter C stands for Coverage. I hope to write about every sports thought that enters my mind for more than a few seconds. Look here mainly for hockey, but I will also write about the other major sports, golf, tennis, and athletic icons.

• The Letter C stands for Candid. I’m an unbiased writer for a living. Don’t expect any of that work here. I’m going to be honest and subjective in everything I write. Take what I say with a huge grain of Red Wings flavored salt.

• The Letter C stands for Character. I’ll do my best not to publish too many emotional rants that go over the line. That means taking a deep breath before I call for the entire state of Ohio to be submerged in eternal hellfire after a certain Saturday in November.

• The Letter C stands for Cake. I love it. Look elsewhere for your pro-pie, anti-cake literature. Scram.

• The Letter C stands for Crazy. That describes some of the opinions and predictions you’ll find here, especially when it comes to Michigan football. Think 13-0 every season.

• The Letter C stands for Comments. I want them. Good or bad, write back to me. Tell me how awesome I am. Tell me how much I suck. Spit it out in words.

• The Letter C stands for Cam. That’s me. This is all me. I write because I have a voice and I want to share it with you.
